Custom residence in Toronto

A bespoke hardware project designed to bring character, individuality, and refinement to a contemporary Toronto residence.

The homeowner sought distinctive hardware solutions that would elevate both the doors and cabinetry throughout the home while complementing its clean architectural aesthetic. While the selected lever design aligned with the desired visual direction, the standard product offering could not accommodate the project's functional requirements or design specifications.

Artisan Hardware collaborated closely with its manufacturing partners to develop a tailored solution, transforming a premium product into a fully customized hardware package that seamlessly balanced design intent, performance, and craftsmanship.

01 Challenge

The lever chosen was only available in stainless steel on a simple backplate, plus this did not conform to the door conditions and hardware needed to make it work

02 Solution

Custom full height backplates were created.

Custom finish was created to be used on all hardware. (not just door hardware )
Unique lock mechanism was sourced to accommodate unique door conditions.
